We found Vanessa four years ago during a very stressful time when our older son was struggling with high school math. From the very beginning, Vanessa believed in him and patiently helped him build confidence and understanding. With her support, he completed all his required university-level math credits and was accepted into the University of Guelph for Kinesiology. After a year and a half, he transitioned into the Engineering program at Humber Polytechnic. Thanks to earning a 98% in university calculus, he was accepted without needing high school calculus — something we never imagined possible at the start of this journey.

Today, he genuinely loves math and even helps teach and support his classmates, which speaks volumes about the impact Vanessa has had on him.

Our youngest son has now been working with Vanessa for both math and science for the past two years, and once again, we’ve seen incredible growth — not just academically, but in confidence as well.

Vanessa is kind, patient, and incredibly accommodating. She truly takes the time to understand how each student learns. Her passion shines through in the care she puts into reviewing homework, preparing for tests, and creating extra practice questions to ensure her students truly understand the material.

Vanessa is simply amazing. We are beyond grateful for everything she has done for our family, and we would wholeheartedly recommend her to any student struggling with math or science.

Vanessa and her sessions are very well organized which makes it very easy for students to follow. She provides helpful tips and tricks that are not learned in class in order to make difficult concepts easier. Having her help made me feel ahead of the class and made future lessons in school easier since they were just building off of what Vanessa had already taught me. Overall her sessions have helped me immensely throughout my semester and the effectiveness of her sessions are displayed through my marks. Vanessa is a great teacher and has helped both my sister and I throughout grade 10 math, and grade 11 chem, and grade 11 math. 10/10 teaching skills, would most definitely recommend!

Despite chemistry never being my strong suit, Vanessa was able to effectively help me achieve a better understanding of my lessons. Vanessa was clear and thorough with her explanations of different concepts related to chemistry and ensured to take extra time and care on topics I struggled with more than others. The structure of our sessions being molded around my needs, whether that be going through the lesson again, assisting me with my homework problems, or giving me problems she makes on her own, were all incredibly helpful towards the understanding of the topics we learned about in class. Overall, I highly recommend Vanessa to anyone who needs help with chemistry, as her ability to explain topics clearly and answer questions effectively is incredible, and I was never left with more questions than answers during our sessions. 

Vanessa has spent many hour-long sessions tutoring me in my Grade 12 Chemistry course and she has tremendously helped me in understanding many difficult concepts that my school teacher could not help with. She is a great choice if you are struggling in Chemistry and need some extra help!

Vanessa has been tutoring me with both grade 10 math and grade 11 biology for the last year. She is very knowledgeable and always provides an interesting and understandable explanation. I have known Vanessa for a very long time and she is a great tutor she explains things very well and when it comes to difficult topic she has a way of explaining them that makes them so much more clear and understandable. She is a very visual teacher and writes down step by step how to do any question you are struggling with and explains it perfectly. I would 100% recommend Vanessa if you are looking for a tutor who is adapts to your learning style whether you are visual learner (etc) and explains everything and make sure you are ok and understand the topics completely by the end of the session you feel confident in the material you covered.

Vanessa is a very talented artist. She has created many stunning art pieces over the years some of which have been displayed in art shows. She is very dedicated in everything she does and makes sure all of her pieces are no less than perfect. Vanessa is always more than willing to help others and has a lot of experience teaching and working with others. She has a very warm and welcoming personality and makes everyone feel very comfortable with her. Her patience and positive attitude towards art and painting would make her a great teacher.
