About Aastha
I’m a medical student with a strong interest in emergency medicine and surgery, currently also involved in cancer genomics research alongside my studies. I’ve always been passionate about both science and the humanities—I love reading, philosophy, poetry, and literature, which is reflected in my academic achievements, including Merits in SACE Biology and English. I bring that same curiosity and drive to tutoring, aiming to make learning both meaningful and engaging for each student.

I’d make a strong tutor because I combine a solid academic foundation with real, hands-on experience. I graduated as Dux of my high school, earning Merits in SACE Biology and English, with raw scores of 19.7 and 19.9 out of 20 respectively—so I understand what it takes to not just learn the content, but to really excel in it.
Beyond that, I’ve been tutoring my younger brothers for years, helping them with homework and guiding them through concepts in a way that actually clicks. That experience taught me how to be patient, adaptable, and explain things clearly, especially when someone’s struggling to get it at first.
I’ve also privately tutored other students, with great results. I love seeing the moment when things start to make sense for someone—that’s the most rewarding part. I aim to make my sessions structured but relaxed, so students feel comfortable, supported, and motivated to do their best.
