About Luke
I am a driven and hard working student working towards studying medicine. I have been successful in receiving two conditional offers from the University of Southampton and University of Birmingham. I feel that I possess many of the key attributes to become a successful doctor and endeavour to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
During my studies I very much appreciated and recognised how the efforts of my tutor improved my results and boosted my confidence going into exams. This allowed me to achieve the results and offers that I had dreamed of. Because of this, I would love the opportunity to help the next generations of students reach their own academic goals.

New tutor with recent A-level experience and knowledge of the most effective teaching and study methods in Chemistry and Mathematics.
Teaching heavily focussed around working through past paper questions and constructing answers that will best agree with the strict A-level mark schemes.
I firmly believe in active recall of information after learning each topic, strongly integrating knowledge in the long term memory of my students.
I very much believe in providing students with in depth explanations and background knowledge of how specific mechanisms and topics work, allowing them to structure their own answers in examinations. This means that memorising the ins and outs of each topics isn't always required as knowledge is already embedded, allowing revision to be focussed on key weaknesses.
Lessons will consist of one hour sessions and will mainly consist of teaching topics of weakness, followed by completing corresponding past paper questions.
I am a recently finished A-level student, preparing for Medical School in September.
I achieved 5 grade 9s and 5 grade 8s at GCSE including a 9 in both Maths and Chemistry, also being predicted an A* in Chemistry at A-level, an A in A-level Maths and an A* in A-level Biology.
Looking to teach A-level Chemistry students and GCSE Maths students.
Feedback will be provided to students after each lesson, with key areas to work on highlighted after each session if necessary.
