Hi! I am a Melbourne based tutor and a nursing graduate, currently studying a Bachelor of Education, with a passion for teaching English to children and young adults.

About Petrina
One of the reasons I want to teach ESL is because I love working with people from different backgrounds and helping them gain confidence in their communication skills. In my current role in medical administration, I see every day how important English can be for accessing services, building relationships, and succeeding in work and study.
I am also currently studying a Bachelor of Education because I am passionate about teaching and supporting others in their learning. I enjoy creating positive learning experiences and helping students reach goals they may have once thought were out of reach.
Teaching ESL allows me to share my passion for language, learning, and working with people while creating a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to grow in confidence and ability.

As a nursing graduate and future teacher studying a Bachelor of Education, I love meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds. My classroom is a positive, relaxed space where mistakes are welcomed—they're an important part of learning!
My one-hour lessons are interactive and personalised to your needs, whether that be, discussing current topics, practising everyday conversations, improving pronunciation or working on grammar in a way that feels natural and practical. I believe students learn best when lessons are enjoyable, relevant, and focused on their goals.
