About the lesson

I specialise in English Language & Literature but can teach any subject to a KS4/GCSE level and 5 subjects at KS5/ A level. I have 10+ years’ experience managing tuition centres across London as well as an online tuition and careers guidance service. Additionally, I have created English and science programmes and curricula for secondary schools across the UK. My lessons are focused on achieving maximum engagement and swift improvement, using unique techniques that ensure progress through ingrained knowledge, transferable skillsets and an engendered passion for the subject. I take a holistic approach to learning and help students ‘connect the dots’ more easily, with a deeper focus on memory encoding, retention and recall. The first class is given at no cost, along with a consultation to help students and parents understand ability in relation to goals, as well as establishing a clear roadmap towards achieving success. Subsequent classes range from 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the student. For each class, therefore, I utilise a wide range of teaching methods, study the learning style of each student and tailor bespoke classes suited to their individual needs. Most importantly, no matter the subject or topic, I always strive for proficiency and gaining optimal results for all of my students. I am also a Mensa member with an I.Q. score of 166, which is representative of the top 1% of the global population.
