About Georgia
I’m an experienced tutor who has just graduated from my Master of Fine Art in Creative Writing and hope to pursue a PhD in the future.
Previously I gained a First Class BA in English Literature from the University of Exeter, where I specialized in Romanticism, Medical Humanities, and the Gothic. My dissertation was used as an exemplar by the university and I have strived to achieve this level of excellence in my further studies.
While at Exeter, I began freelancing as an editor and proofreader. My past projects ranged from postgraduate dissertations to full-length novels. My own writing has also been published both online and in print.
I also have experience of tutoring younger children, particularly at GCSE and A Level. My last GCSE student gained an A in their English, which was a wonderful achievement for both of us!
However, what’s important to me is that all my students are able to access complex material in a way which makes sense to them. Whether visual, kinaesthetic, or as-yet-unknown, adapting to your learning style is my top priority.
I am also able to offer lessons in Spanish.

I take a very individualistic approach to teaching, modifying my lesson plans to fit each student’s unique abilities and learning styles. I have previously worked as a teaching assistant with young children. In addition, I have independently tutored secondary school students (11-18) and young adults, so my range of teaching techniques is varied.
