About Alno
I am a microbiologist by training and am passionate about nature and biology. I have a BSc in Human Life Science focusing on physiology, microbiology, genetics and biochemistry. My BScHons and MSc degrees focused on Microbiology. I am currently finishing my PhD in environmental Microbiology. I have been involved in multiple teaching roles tutoring practical laboratory lessons at university in both English and Afrikaans. I am patient and love teaching people new things, thus my interest in becoming a tutor.

I am very patient and believe that the best way to truly understand a subject is to understand the broader picture. This is especially important in biology as one system is always involved in the next. I am proficient in both Afrikaans and English.
