About Ashley
I am a Senior at Saint Leo University, graduating in May. I will obtain my Bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Education with English Specialization. I have been interning in middle grades English classrooms for over one year. Through my studies and internships, I have compiled portfolios of student achievements over the course of the year. I have put the results of my students' accomplishments into reports explaining their growth, along with the accommodations or modifications needed to see the improvements for students with IEPs, 504s, and ESEs.

My teaching method includes direct instruction and collaborative discussion for middle grade English students. I will present a journal entry at the beginning of class, followed by direct instruction of the Language Arts state standards, then allow the students to engage in collaborative discussions to complete classwork and assignments. Homework is rarely given; practice worksheets or assignments will be provided if necessary.

Details
I will work with any student that may need accommodations or modifications in lessons so they may receive the best educational support I can provide. However, as I am fully supporting myself, if I have to travel farther than 30 minutes from my apartment, I will charge an extra $2-$5 depending on the distance.
For cancellation, I would like 24 hours notice, unless an emergency. Life happens, and therefore I will not charge a cancellation fee.
