About Daniel
I wasn’t always great at math and science during elementary and middle school—it felt overwhelming and out of reach at times. It wasn’t until I had an amazing tutor who believed in me and inspired me that I began to excel. That experience not only changed my perspective on math but also fueled my passion for learning, eventually leading me to pursue math and computer science. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, graduating cum laude from California State University San Marcos in 2024, with a minor in mathematics. Before that, I completed two Associate of Science degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science at Grossmont College in 2022. I am currently a master’s student in the Computer Science program at California State University Chico Online, with aspirations of becoming a computer science teacher at the college or university level. I believe that the right tutor can make all the difference, just as mine did for me. With a deep understanding of how to make challenging subjects approachable, I am committed to helping my students unlock their potential and achieve their academic goals.

I aim to customize each lesson specifically to each student's needs. I try to mix a combination of real-world application, step-by-step problem solving, and discussion to make sure all concepts are fully understood. Typically, I would ask students to recall what they are already familiar with on the subject and build from there. I would guide the student through practice problems and give real-world examples. Combined with my background in computer science and mathematics, my passion for teaching and getting students to achieve their full potential is ideal for all levels of students, from elementary to undergraduate. Together we will work to achieve your academic goals!
