About Kit
Hey there! I'm a first year French and Spanish student at The University of Nottingham, currently achieving at a high 2:1/first level. I have been studying French and at least 1 other language for the past 7 years, so I'm well acquainted with the highs, lows, joys, perils and pitfalls of language learning!
I have previous experience of tutoring and school outreach work with a wide variety of age groups, including for French GCSE, and am part of a mentoring scheme at my university. I will also be completing a teaching module in the second year of my degree.

It's difficult to write a catch-all method - learning a language is a multi-faceted, constant process and so all of my lessons are unique and structured around the your individual needs. What I can promise are student-guided sessions and a wide range of teaching techniques - if rote-learning and vocabulary drills aren't your thing, we could listen to songs and identify lyrics, or discuss your new favourite TV show.
If you're already passionate about French, I'm excited to learn more about what you love about the language and work out together what we can do to enhance your studies if you feel like you're not being challenged enough.
And if you're terrified of the prospect of more French lessons, I'm here to help you work through some of those fears and worries and develop a style of teaching entirely around what you're comfortable with. Maybe you'll even discover a passion for French along the way!
