I've known Maurice Gordon for over a decade, as an exceptional guitarist and guitar teacher. I've done multiple lessons with him and the experience has been transformational. Long story short, Maurice is an excellent teacher that can challenge and inspire any student that has an interest in learning guitar!

Maurice taught me guitar in college and I moved from knowing only campfire chords to touring the world as full time professional musician because of 3 primary lessons: He gave me a solid knowledge base that has proven infallible throughout my career, he taught how to be a student of my craft and invest my time wisely in mindful practice and finally, showed me what it is to be a passionate musician by opening the doors to inspiring musicianship for me.

Maurice prides himself in being a skilled pedagogue who can both play and teach and is able to break down the information to where you are at and take you to where you want to be. His teaching style is hands on, patient and flexible and he will tailor the lesson style to use your strengths to support your weaknesses. He will demonstrate then give exercises to reinforce the concepts and knows the level of understanding necessary for mastery and pushes his students towards that level.
