I base my teaching on group based activities which provides learners hand on experience by mutually engaging in small groups to deliver target outcomes. Where the shy and not so shy learners are mutually benefited by drafting , negotiating , editing and presenting the collectively produced material in class.
Re-capitulation and reinforcement of learned concepts are regular features of my teaching before introducing new language concepts and learning items. I keep my learners engaged by asking , paraphrasing, reiterating and confirming their output positively. Last but not the least I encourage all my learners to engage and share learning in a risk free environment and develop a trusting positive relationship with myself and other learners
