About Julian
I am an Undergrad student at Mcgill University, with experience in being a summer teacher for 7 years, as well as experience in customer service and retail. My background is in creating professional grade cardboard furniture. I also do freelance handiwork repairing and renovating apartments, along with interior decoration. Many of my skills I've taught myself, and I've realized that the biggest barrier with working with materials in a household is comfort! The accessibility of building and fixing things in your home is much closer and more affordable than you'd think.

The biggest barrier in working with tools and materials is discomfort around handling tools, and being worried of damaging things or doing a poor job. Working with your hands is a process of trial and error, and the most essential factor to becoming comfortable and successful with your projects is to build acceptance and patience around the fact that this is a learning process, and that it is ok to make mistakes because they are our best tools to know how we can do the best job.
