About Eugene
My name is Eugene (Yevgenii) Semiletov and I've been teaching music since 2006. I began teaching long before my graduation from Moscow Institute of Modern Arts (Institut Sovremennogo Iskusstva) in 2010, so over the years, I have developed effective methodics for teaching bass guitar (my main instrument, I've been a session musician in Moscow for more than 20 years), guitar, ukulele and music theory (konnakol/elementary music theory/harmony).
I teach in English and Russian.

While based on extended methodics, my teaching techniques are quite adaptable for students of various levels and goals. Different people react differently to different sources of information: someone is more inclined towards reading sheet music, while others may prefer to play everything by ear (both approaches have their pros and cons). So, we can find the way that suits YOU better.
A typical bass/guitar/ukulele lesson begins with a few technique exercises to warm up, followed by fretboard awareness/voicing/comping/tone/you name it tasks, then goes working on some musical material (songs, etudes, licks etc) and in the end we do some rhythmics/solfege exercises. The order may vary, though it all tends to begin with the warmup.
