Most students study hard, but could they be more efficient? I’m an NYU master’s student and neuroscience researcher, and I build sessions around what research says about how memory and learning work.

About Anneliese
Hi, I’m Anneliese! I’m a master’s student at NYU and a researcher in a neuroscience lab, where I study the effects of early life stress in mice and get to look at their neurons. Pretty cool stuff! Working with real data every day has given me a deep appreciation for how the brain learns, and I bring that knowledge into every session.
I’m passionate about learning (and a bit of a nerd about it), and I love helping students feel capable and confident in their own ability to understand difficult material. I keep sessions relaxed and encouraging, because people learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions. I also love to laugh, and I could talk for hours about film and TV, so if you need a movie recommendation, I will always have a good one.
When I’m not studying or in school, I’m usually staying active and looking for my next favorite nature walk.

My method: Retrieval practice, spaced repetition, and interleaving, plus connecting new ideas to what you already know. I explain why each technique works so you can keep using it on your own.
A typical lesson: Quick quiz on past material, we dig into the toughest topics together, and you leave each session with a clear plan for the week.
What sets me apart: I analyze data in a neuroscience lab every day, so I bring real research experience. I’m also a current grad student, so I know the pressure of school.
Who it’s for: High school, AP, and undergraduate students in biology, neuroscience, psychology, stats, Python/R, or anyone prepping for undergraduate/graduate applications.
