About Kiana
Hello, my name is Kiana. I am an undergraduate in English and Creative writing at Goldsmiths University in London.
My keen interest in languages drove me to learn English, Italian and German besides my French mother tongue. Furthermore, as an inveterate bookworm, I attended French Advanced courses in High School.
I have been tutoring French for the past three years with constantly successful end results. I have given lessons to toddlers in a nursery, children at home and adult learners. Highly enthused and sociable, it will be a real pleasure for me to share my passion for languages and to help you learn and master all the subtleties of the French language. I am a friendly and patient tutor who believes in creative and interactive teaching. Regardless of your ability and learning style, I will put in 100% effort to enable you to succeed and feel enthusiastic and confident.

My teaching method is highly interactive and I make sure to keep it creative to inject some passion and fun into the lessons. It is also structural and personal to each student's level of proficiency.
I base my classes on the practice of dialogues in diverse situations. I believe learning a language means acquiring habits. Therefore, I usually set weekly tasks, such as watching a film, reading a book and other inspiring resources, that we can then discuss together. When approaching each topic, I emphasise the importance of good pronunciation and grammar in the development of oral ability. This way, my students are able to communicate effectively and appropriately in situations that they would be most likely to find themselves in.
My goal is to work towards total immersion in the language and free-flowing conversations and most importantly to make the learning fun and engaging.
