About Felix
A Master of Philosophy degree in Chemistry demonstrates a strong academic foundation and subject matter knowledge, over twenty years of hands-on experience teaching in a multicultural environment with diverse student populations, adapting various teaching methods and techniques to cater to various learning styles makes me a seasoned teacher and an expert to effectively convey complex concepts to students in a way that demystifies chemistry to even leaners who find it most challenging. I prioritize student success through a student-centered teaching philosophy. My lessons are interactive, and my teaching methods focus on enhancing comprehension and fostering a love for the subject. I research and prepare thoroughly for every lesson to meaningfully engage students to apply their learning and demonstrate their understanding in a practical way, relevant to the lesson objectives.

My lessons attend to the needs of every learner particularly those struggling to make sense of the subject. I bring a common sense perspective to the learner so they don't have to imagine and think in the abstract and get confused in the process.
Over the twenty years of my teaching career, I have taught at every level from middle school Chemistry to Advance Level Chemistry ( grade 7 to 12) and a good appreciation of the challenges to understanding the subject and have developed a what I call "the common sense approach" in helping students build a perfectly strong foundation that takes away the challenges of understanding more complex concepts further up. I am also well-equipped to quickly diagnose gaps that become challenges to assimilate more advance concepts and address them to help students comfortably navigate new concepts with ease. I am dedicated to making an impact and work with each student to master the materials they need to until they become very comfortable. My students over the years come out with excellent grades and that motivates me to put in more each time.
