About Maryam
I am an experienced CELTA-certified English teacher with a lifelong love of the English language. My main aim is to enhance the educators learning experience by contributing to the world sustainable development goal: quality education. I have gained exceptional skills in the design and development of interactive classes, applying teaching methods based on the awareness of the needs, interests, learning preferences and cultural backgrounds of the students. I enjoy supporting students and colleagues; thus, I have volunteered to mentor new colleagues, guide students, and participate in other activities such as educational events, holding exhibitions, and reviewing and translating educational materials. I am a responsible, friendly, enthusiastic teacher who constructs helpful rapport with students. I participate in various conferences for better networking with our colleagues worldwide, get updates on the most recent teaching methods and further professional development. Conferences such as Cambridge Live 2022 and Life Long Learning Skills in the 21st Century Classroom (British Council).

I have 8+ years of experience teaching English to a variety of students from elementary to advanced levels in different age ranges teaching. In my current role, I have set up numerous satisfaction marks for my teaching and support learning activities (teaching in small, large, online, and private classes, guiding other teachers, and successfully educating students to take their IELTS exams). I have had international students from Switzerland, Turkey, South America, and Ukraine. I decided to grow my knowledge in teaching English to foreign students to help a more comprehensive community through my CELTA course, accredited by the University of Cambridge. In this course, I taught international students at the London Teaching house in the United Kingdom. I always design interactive sessions for students using teaching technologies to enhance their experience. I use online tools and classroom platforms such as Zoom (developing polls, pop-up quizzes, interactive student activities, and teaching tablets). I make topical links to events to bring English alive for my students, such as pictures, music and movies.
