About Owen

I am a Chemistry tutor with over 4 years of teaching experience and an MSc in Organic Chemistry. My passion lies in connecting chemistry to real-world applications, especially in forensic science. I integrate concepts of forensic chemistry and toxicology into my lessons, making the subject both engaging and relevant. Students learn how chemistry plays a crucial role in analyzing evidence and understanding the chemical aspects of crime investigation. I teach drug analysis, trace evidence identification, and analytical techniques for detecting poisons. Each topic is presented with practical case-based examples to deepen understanding. My approach includes guiding students in interpreting forensic data with accuracy and confidence. I also focus on building their skills in using analytical tools and methods applied in modern forensic laboratories. Learners gain hands-on problem-solving experience that prepares them for academic success and real-world application. I work closely with students aiming for careers in forensic science, law, and public safety. The lessons are designed not only to improve their academic performance but also to develop professional thinking. By blending theory, practice, and critical analysis, I ensure they are ready to excel in their chosen paths. Ultimately, my goal is to help students become well-rounded and confident chemists who can contribute meaningfully to justice and society.

My teaching approach in Chemistry is built on making complex topics clear and practical. I focus on areas like acid-base chemistry, pH calculations, titration, and buffer solutions, showing how they connect to real-life situations. Students learn not just to memorize formulas, but to understand the “why” behind them.

I guide learners step-by-step through chemical equilibrium, helping them develop logical thinking for problem-solving. We work on strategies to handle tricky questions with confidence. I also integrate skills from research and Olympiad-level problem sets to strengthen their analytical abilities.

Every lesson is designed to build both knowledge and exam readiness. Short quizzes, real examples, and interactive exercises help students apply concepts instantly. I ensure they can handle chemical calculations with accuracy and speed.

Whether it’s preparing for school tests, university exams, or competitive challenges, my sessions aim to boost their confidence. Students not only master content but also learn how to think like chemists. By the end, they see chemistry as both a subject to study and a tool to explore the world.
