About Shabnam

I am a Cambridge-based science tutor with an MSc in Molecular Neuroscience with Distinction from the University of Bristol and a BSc in Animal Biology. My academic background includes cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, physiology, microbiology, immunology and neuroscience.

From 2021 to 2023, I provided one-to-one Mathematics and Science tuition to learners aged 9–18 through GoStudent and Greene’s Tutorial College, Oxford. I bring a careful, organised approach to preparation and enjoy making complex scientific material easier to understand.

About the lesson

I offer one-to-one online Biology, Physics, Maths, and Chemistry lessons for KS3, GCSE and A-level students. Each lesson is usually 60 minutes and is planned around the student’s current topics, schoolwork, assessments and areas they find difficult.

I begin by identifying what the student already understands, then explain unfamiliar material in clear stages using diagrams, worked examples, shared notes and exam-style questions. Lessons can focus on core biological concepts, data interpretation, practical-method questions, revision planning, scientific terminology and exam technique.

I hold an MSc in Molecular Neuroscience with Distinction from the University of Bristol and a BSc in Animal Biology. I previously provided one-to-one Mathematics and Science tuition to learners aged 9–18 through GoStudent and Greene’s Tutorial College, Oxford. My lessons are adapted to the student’s level and paced to allow time for questions and practice.
