About Polly
I graduated from University of Oxford, majoring in MSc Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition. For my bachelor's degree, I graduated from The University of Hong Kong, majoring in Chinese Education which is equal to the qualification of a Bachelor of Education and PGDE. I do enjoy teaching both Chinese and English, especially IELTS. I was born to have a special sense of words and I believe in the power of words. I have worked as a lecturer to deliver English classes to students at the Higher Education level. Also, I have taken up the communications role in my past working experiences at various well-established corporations.
Language proficiency and respect for words
Chinese and English are two dominant languages nowadays. I am strongly qualified in Chinese and English idiomatically and culturally. I have also learnt Korean for 4 years and scored full marks in TOPIK I and level 4 in TOPIK II. I am very detail-minded and meticulous in handling words. Hence, I can assist the company to explore the market and communicate with clients professionally.
International Exposure
I was born and raised in Hong Kong and studied in Beijing and Korea. Also, I have worked in Singapore and travelled to around 35 countries in which I travelled on my own most of the time. It is grateful to have had a meaningful time of residence in different countries and appreciate the beauty of different cultures. The experience has enhanced my creativity and my way of thinking. Besides, I have a very unique affable vibe that people feel comfortable working with.
