About Greyson
Hi, I’m Greyson, a passionate music educator and performer currently studying Music Education at Texas State University. Music has been a lifelong love of mine, and I’m thrilled to dedicate my career to teaching and inspiring others through it. As both a student and teacher, I believe in the power of music to connect, uplift, and transform lives. I specialize in voice instruction and have a strong foundation in music theory, performance techniques, and pedagogy. My approach to teaching is rooted in patience, encouragement, and adaptability, as I aim to meet each student where they are and guide them toward their personal goals. Whether I’m helping a beginner discover their voice, preparing a student for a performance, or exploring new musical styles, I strive to create a positive, motivating learning environment. Beyond teaching, I’m actively involved in my own growth as a musician. Whether it’s performing, studying new techniques, or collaborating with fellow musicians, I’m always looking for ways to deepen my skills and broaden my knowledge. I’m particularly inspired by the way music brings people together, and I love sharing that experience with my students. In my free time, you’ll often find me exploring new music, attending live performances, or experimenting with different creative projects. I’m always looking for ways to grow as an educator, musician, and individual, and I’m excited to bring that energy to every lesson I teach. Let’s work together to make music an enriching and rewarding part of your life!

About Me
I am a dedicated voice instructor and a passionate music education major at Texas State University, where I have cultivated a deep understanding of vocal performance, music theory, and pedagogy. My goal is to empower students of all skill levels to discover their unique voices, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love for singing. Whether you’re a beginner finding your voice, a hobbyist looking to improve, or a more advanced vocalist preparing for auditions or performances, I’m here to guide you on your journey.
Teaching Methods and Techniques
My teaching method focuses on a balance of technical development and artistic expression. I emphasize foundational techniques such as breath control, posture, and vocal health while fostering musicality and emotional connection to the music. Lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, ensuring a personalized approach that meets their goals. I incorporate exercises for vocal warm-ups, diction, range extension, and dynamics, alongside repertoire work in genres ranging from classical and musical theatre to contemporary styles.
A Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson begins with targeted vocal warm-ups to prepare your voice and address specific areas of focus, such as pitch accuracy or tone quality. We then transition into skill-building exercises, followed by repertoire work where we apply technical concepts to music that inspires you. I conclude lessons with constructive feedback and a plan for practice that promotes consistent improvement.
What Sets Me Apart
What sets me apart as a tutor is my adaptability and student-centered approach. I strive to create a welcoming, supportive environment where students feel free to explore and take risks. My background in music education equips me with the tools to break down complex concepts into approachable steps, ensuring progress feels achievable and enjoyable.
Who Lessons Are For
My lessons are open to students of all ages and levels, from beginners to more advanced vocalists. Whether you're a high school student preparing for UIL competitions, a college student pursuing musical theatre, or an adult pursuing singing as a passion, I am excited to help you achieve your goals and unlock your full vocal potential.
