About Joshua
Joshua Nemaire is a musician from Zimbabwe, aged 23. He just finished studying for a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies at the University of Cape Town, South African College of Music graduating with a distinction. His main instruments are the Double Bass and the Electric Bass, but he can play and teach drums, piano and guitar too.
Whilst at the university, Joshua has been a part of the UCT big band, UCT symphony orchestra and many different ensembles at the university.
Joshua has performed with different artists from South Africa and he has also participated in a couple of festivals around Cape Town including The Youth in Music Excellence festival, The Artscape Youth Jazz Festival, The National Youth Jazz Festival - Makhanda, The Journey to Jazz festival - Prince Albert and The Cape Town Big band Festival.
Currently Joshua teaches marimba for the company marimba jam, and he has 10 respective bands from different schools in cape town including Reddam Atlantic Seaboard school, Camps bay high school and Kirstenhof, just to mention a few.
Joshua is extremely professional, and he is always keen to help your music elevate to its next level, whilst trying to give as much enjoyment as possible.
