Having tutored ages 5 to 19, I was able to develop great expertise by familiarizing myself with the needs and wants of my unique students.
I consider myself, a creative, fun, kind, patient, and hardworking young woman, and I love incorporating my abilities into everything that I do. So when I find a student in need of extra academic assistance, I ensure to plan engaging lessons tailored to the student.
My typical approach is to:
• Find out what the student's needs are.
• What the specifics of the academic weaknesses are.
• Give a small reading, writing and speaking exercise to gauge the extent of the student's struggle and consequently see what else I may need to work on with said student.
• Find out the student's interest so as to incorporate that into my lessons.
• Establish a lesson plan (adjust as needed) and begin lessons with said student
