About Jayson
Jayson Diorio the Actor/Singer/Songwriter/Pianist/Producer, has been performing since the age of ten. In his senior year of High School Jayson was the time first place winner in the N.J. Teen Arts Festival Finals at Rutgers University, in the Songwriting/composition/Vocals category and Acting Jayson has performed in such shows as “The Odd Couple”, Grease”, “Arsenic and Old Lace”,“Deathtrap”,“Godspell”,"The Bugs Bunny Wonder Circus" and numerous others. Jayson attended Loyola University and received a B.A. degree in Theatre Arts and Music. While at Loyola, Jayson performed in one show per semester and was cast in the nationwide tour of “The Commitments”. In 1993 he was Loyola's all conference College Pitcher of the year and still holds the record for lowest E.R.A. in a season. After College Jayson toured the country with NYC’s S.T.A.R. Theater acting in “Over the Edge” and “On The Verge”. Jayson then went on to compose the original score for Edward Albee’s “The Playmakers Tour”. Other credits include Jesus Christ Superstar, Miss Saigon, Annie, the PBS documentary “Sex and Other Matters of Life and Death” and Film credits “Brotherhood” and “Too Far”. In 1999 he started Millennium Productions which produced Godspell and West Side Story at the Strand Theater in Lakewood. For the past five years Jayson has been performing as a Pianist/Singer in various San Diego hotels/resorts. In Orange County he helped start Danman’s Acting School opened The Dana Point Children’s Theater and Music company and The Capistrano Actors Academy as well. Jayson opened Jersey Acting and Music Company, llc. in 2008, which is a music and acting school for kids and adults of all ages as well as a professional recording studio with a video department for music videos, documentaries and short films. Jayson remains creative, while writing and producing himself, as well as other artists from both coasts, while residing in NJ.
