About Marisa
I am currently enrolled at Florida State University and working towards my BM in Music Composition. With this degree track, I have studied many areas of music theory including fundamental elements of music, diatonic and chromatic harmony, tonicization, and musical form. In high school, I was involved in orchestra and was an active member in Tri-M Music Honors Society. I have taken AP Music Theory and passed the exam with a score of 5. I have been involved in many musical competitions and festivals. One example is Music-Fest Rising Talents Festival, where I received the Grand Prize and performed in the Italian Academy Teatro at Columbia University. Another is Sacred Music Florida Competition, where I received second place in piano performance. Since my enrollment into university, I have taken several music theory and ear training courses and passed with A's.
