About Jonathan
I'm Jonathan, a Vocal Coach and Music Director with over fifteen years of experience teaching singers of every level.
Every voice is as unique as the person who carries it, and that belief is at the heart of how I teach. My coaching is grounded in the biopsychosocial model: the body, the mind, and the environment all shape how you sing, so we address all three. The result is a voice that's authentic, sustainable, and expressive, built in a supportive, judgment-free space where I meet you where you are and guide you forward.
Why me: Berklee-trained, certified in Vocal Health First Aid, and currently music director in residence at a community theater where I cast and direct full musicals year-round, so I know exactly what directors and audition panels are listening for.

I teach singing the way a working music director hears it: foundational technique first, then the performance it makes possible. Every exercise has a reason you'll understand, and you'll leave each lesson with one or two clear things to practice, not ten.
A typical lesson: a targeted warm-up, then most of the hour on your song, working phrase by phrase on technique, interpretation, and delivery. We close with a short practice plan for the week. Audition students also build, polish, and rehearse audition cuts.
Lessons are for beginners, audition prep students, musical theatre performers, and adults returning to singing. All ages and styles, with a particular strength in musical theatre, pop, and contemporary voice. In studio or online.
