About Tom
I am a professional guitarist who has graduated from Kingston University in 2012 with a Bmus degree in Music Technology. I also possess Grade 8 LCM in Popular Music Theory and Grade 5 ABRSM in Music Theory (both passed with merit) and am working towards my Grade 8 in ABRSM Music Theory.
I have several years experience in playing in various successful musical theatre production in different locations across the UK.
I believe that the guitar is a very special instrument with its versatility and in recent years, having studied guitar under some of the finest master guitar and music theory tutors in the UK, have discovered unique patterns on how to get to grips with the layout of the guitar fretboard.
I am still continuing with my live performing work, but I am also eager to get back into teaching again. I had been teaching up until the Covid pandemic but now I am looking to passionately sharing so much guitar knowledge with you all!
At this moment in time, I am only taking on beginners, but will be taking on more advanced students later on in the future.
I also have a DBS certificate.

I offer a relaxed and fun approach to learning the guitar. I tailor the lessons around the student's requirements and help my students with whatever they are finding to be a barrier to their playing, such as lack of fretboard knowledge, correct fingering positions, theory or anything else lacking in their technique.
