About Christopher
Hi Everyone, my name is Chris I have been playing guitar for 16 years and since the beginning fallen in love with it. I have been fortunate enough to tour around a lot of the globe playing guitar and been even more fortunate to meet so many amazing new people, wanting to learn the language of music and become better at their instruments. I graduated from Brighton Institute Of Modern Music with a 2.1 and since then my focus has been teaching guitar and all the techniques and ways to express what you are trying to say through your instrument. My main focus and playing style is metal and more heavier styles of music, but with that being said I listen to a vast collection of styles and can teach and adapt to what you want.

When it comes to teaching guitar I use multiple techniques! As we all know everyone learns differently, so I like to try and cover as many different ways as possible, I will explain what I'm doing, showing the best and most efficient ways around the task, whilst having already sent tablature and physical aids to help reinforce what is going on. Whatever way you learn best will be my main focus and if you're not sure how you learn best, we can look into that and then move forward from there! When it comes to learning an instrument, I really believe music should always be fun!! Even if your lessons are to help aid you in getting closer to that qualification you're looking for, be it at university level/ rock school grades or even just to learn and play a song live, the more fun we have the faster and more we learn. Lesson wise I always advise at least one hour per lesson, as this gives optimal time to deconstruct what we are doing which in turn helps reinforce what is being learnt.

As a 62 year old retired engineer i wanted to learn to play guitar. I took a few lessons with Chris and in no time i was starting to play my favourite songs not well but recognisable. Chris has both the talent and patience to take you where you want to go with your music. Check his you tube videos to see what he can do.
Great guitar player and even better teacher. This guy knows his theory and will give you finger exercises that'll make you sore!
Chris has been a amazing teacher for me! I've always had a passion to play guitar. When i started lerning, my school teachers never gave me the time and day to help me with learning to play properly. But after many years I wanted to come back to it, found Chris on here and it was the best choice ive ever made regarding musical education.
