About Josh
Joshua is a current student at the Royal Academy of Music studying a masters degree in classical and operatic voice. A proud member of the globally renowned London Community Gospel Choir. His musical journey has taken him across the globe, from Lebanon to Spain and Africa, where he has lent his voice, either as a soloist or part of a group. His early training in the art of gospel music has endowed him with a profound understanding, enabling him to weave captivating stories through improvisation.
In addition to his own performances, Joshua has collaborated with local bands and artists, serving as a vocal coach, where he focuses on enhancing vocal blend, stamina, and stage presence. His impressive resume also includes working as a session singer alongside renowned artists like Ellie Goulding, Justin Timberlake, and Idina Menzel.
Joshua holds a degree from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, equipping him with the technical and stylistic expertise to teach a wide range of musical styles, including pop, musical theater, classical, and jazz.

In my teaching approach, the emphasis is placed on guiding students through a journey of self-discovery and fostering confidence in their vocal abilities. I provide instruction and support to enable singers to develop and carry essential techniques with them throughout their lives. Together, we will address voice placement techniques to enhance tonal clarity and sound production, cultivate breath control for increased vocal stamina and musicality, and place a strong focus on developing a deep understanding of melody.

Joshua has a way with his students. I have had the pleasure to work with him and observe his lessons within a school setting. He is attentive to his students and has the ability to bring out the best in his students.
He was working with KS2 students and he taught the children technically that they understood. His energy is infectious and he knows what he is teaching.Joshua is a superb teacher, from my very first lesson he made me feel confident and excited to sing. Even though I am singing pop music I am getting taught classical techniques. Joshua explains in great detail all of the technical aspects and makes it easy to understand. I have seen a great improvement in my singing and range.
