About Ali
I’ve been playing guitar for over 20 years. I have experience teaching both children and adults, from complete beginners to intermediate players, and I’m passionate about helping each student reach their goals. My training includes years of private lessons as well as extensive self-study, which has given me a strong foundation in technique, music theory, and a variety of playing styles. I focus on creating lessons that are engaging, personalized, and tailored to each student’s learning style. Whether your goal is to learn your favorite songs, improve your technique, or build confidence in your playing, I provide structured guidance while making sure lessons are fun and encouraging. Hi! I’m a guitarist with over 20 years of playing experience, and I love helping students of all ages discover the excitement of playing music. I’m calm, patient, and easygoing, and my goal is to make learning guitar both enjoyable and meaningful. I’ve taught both kids and adults, tailoring lessons to each student’s goals and learning style. My teaching approach is song-based, so you’ll always be working on music you care about while building strong foundational skills. Lessons can cover a wide range of concepts, including: Music theory fundamentals The musical alphabet and how it applies to guitar Chord construction and progressions Scales for soloing and improvisation Navigating the fretboard with confidence The CAGED system for chords and scales Each lesson is designed to help you understand how the guitar works, improve your technique, and gain confidence in playing your favorite songs. Lessons are offered online via Zoom or in-person in Glendora, CA. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your playing to the next level, I’d be happy to help you grow as a guitarist and experience the joy of music.
