About Federica
I have been studying Music all my life, but I have always been fascinated by my native language and the rich and inspiring literature around it. Dante, Pascoli, Leopardi, Pavese, Pasolini and many others were and still are a few of the greatest writers, poets, artists who defined Western culture. Being originally from Rome, I have always been interested in studying the origins of this interesting idiom: Latin. My formative background includes as well 5 years of Humanities research in Philosophy and Ancient Greek. Thus, I would be honoured to offer my knowledge through teaching to any promising young or older student moved by the same driving curiosity and desire of knowing more - cultures, words, facts, ideas, texts, in order to experience and embrace a new world, in this case this charismatic Mediterranean peninsula.

My personal approach on tutoring would consist of: Interactive visual learning (involvement of flash cards, memory 'games', brief quizzes), cultural immersion (introduction to Italian folklore, traditions, films, current art movements), grammar in context (phrasing with a sub-text, dialogue, story behind) to obtain active, effective and engaging communication (listening, speaking and reading) through creation of tangible life-scenarios. My typical length of a lesson would be between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the students' level of comprehension: for example, for a beginner 30 minutes would be a right time frame, while for an advanced learner 60 minutes. My target would be open to any level and any age, but especially between young learners (5-17) and young professionals (18-25) that would travel to Italy for business or vacation.
