About Norah
I am currently a full time University professor, researching and teaching music technology and artificial intelligence. I have a PhD and Masters in computer music and technology and have over 15 years teaching experience in music technology and computer science subjects at the university and high school level. I have taught music technology at universities in the UK, USA (including the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University) and now in Canada.
I am also award winning composer for film and fixed media - I have had premieres and award nominations at TIFF, Sundance, Berlin Film Festival.
I have experience getting students into industry leading positions in the UK, USA and Canada and am one of the first professors to teach music technology at the university level at a Canadian university.
I have experience working with and teaching Logic, Pro Tools, Reaper, Fruity Loops, MaxMsp, SuperCollider and many other music production software tools.

I try and relate with each student on an individual basis- starting by getting to know what level they’re coming from with music production/technology and where they would like to take their learning!
I will tailor learning plans to work with student’s personal goals - whether this is learning a new piece of software or preparing a portfolio to send to a record label, I will work with you to take your work to the next level!
