About Armin
My name is Armin. Originally from Tehran, I now reside in Montréal, having recently relocated from London, where I lived for over a decade.
During my time in the UK, I completed both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music. I am a performing musician and composer, and have worked extensively as an independent instructor with both adults and children. In addition to private teaching, I have taught in schools in both London and Tehran.
Beyond the guitar, my interests extend to sound more broadly. I have worked as part of sound teams in cinema, notably on the award-winning film Universal Language by Matthew Rankin, as well as composing scores for independent films.
I am particularly passionate about bridging Western and Eastern musical traditions. I would be delighted to be part of your journey in demystifying the world of music.

Hello!
I offer lessons for guitar (acoustic, electric, classical) both in-person (Montréal, Canada) and online. If you are in Montréal, we can work out a hybrid structure. I am available to teach during the work week and weekend.
Lessons can be 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour, or even 90 minutes.
I work with students at all stages from beginners to advanced musicians.
Complementary to the development of your skills on the guitar, you can also benefit from learning about theory, composition and songwriting during our lessons, improving your musicianship.
I can conduct lessons in both English and Persian.

I started learning electric guitar with Armin one year ago with no prior experience and as a complete beginner.
