About Alpha
I am a singer songwriter based in Colorado Springs. I've been singing my whole life and have not taken a vocal lesson. I grew up listening to a lot of music from the 50s to the 80s and I also listened to a lot of classical music. I sounded like a lot of artists I liked but I didn't know how to sound unique. I spent a lot of time by myself listening to artists and figuring out how to imitate those vocal techniques and then I would listen to music and ask myself "how could this vocal technique better express this emotion?"
I want music to not only be accessible but also a way to heal and have dialogue about things that are important to us without feeling attacked.
Music is meant to bring people together and that is exactly how I use it.

It is natural to imitate when you are learning how to sing. Think about voices you've heard that are unique though. You can always pick them out no matter what they're singing. That isn't luck. That is them using their true voice to express themselves. My lessons will teach you how to hear YOUR true voice and also take vocal techniques you like and incorporate them into your style.
