Hi, my name is Chris and I have been teaching guitar since I was in high school. I teach everything from classical, blues, rock and jazz and customize my lessons to various levels.

About Chris
I have taught guitar for many years and have lots of experience teaching all levels and ages. I have also taught high school and college-level jazz guitar. I also have lots of professional playing experience to draw from in my lessons. I have recorded, played, and toured with internationally known recording artists such as neo-soul singer Angie Stone, African fusion bassist Richard Bona, and legendary Japanese rocker Eikichi Yazawa among others.

I have lots of experience teaching both beginners and more advanced players. With beginners we typically start with simple melodies and the basic chords and move into strumming and more chords as strength is built. With consistent practice you can quickly begin playing lots of songs after learning just a few chords.
With more advanced players we often work on soloing by learning famous guitar solos and look at ways to apply scales, intervals and arpeggios.
