Hi, my name is Falak: an undergraduate taking English literature in college, with two years of teaching experience. Teaching English to students, or to anyone that wants to improve.

About Falak

I am a patient and dedicated tutor available to teach you English, whether you need to improve your fluency, vocabulary, or need to study and perfect the subject. I have worked closely with ages 4 up to 16, and thoroughly enjoy helping others learn in a calm, supportive environment. I have spoken English my whole life. It’s my first language, and I have a strong passion for the subject. I’m taking it I for my A levels, along with sociology and art.

I aim to help students build their confidence and ability with reading, writing, and speaking English, to ensure the best chance in achieving your goals to your desired grades - or to improve your vocabulary and pronunciation.

Outside of teaching English, I have hobbies such as baking, reading, arts and crafts, as well as gaming. This often allows me to get along with and relate to students, in turn helping to nurture their creativity and comprehension.

About the lesson

PRIMARY TO SECONDARY

Using exam focused and repetition based techniques, my goal is to push you further towards the grades you desire. Classes would be thought-inducing, but not necessarily harsh. I prefer to teach in a warm and supportive manner, while pushing you to be your best.

This means sessions will range from mastering vocabulary, techniques and spelling, focusing on specific questions and how to tackle them, to creative writing and structuring paragraphs.

SPEAKING

Lessons will range between focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation, spelling, to stringing those words into sentences and mastering grammar, the correct use of phrases or analogies, to understanding nuances and interactions with other English speakers.

SESSIONS

Lessons would be around 1 to 2 hours, but can be adapted towards the students needs and struggles.

Booking sessions late - at least a 2 hour notice - have a £2 fee, and cancellations must be informed of at least an hour prior to the lesson!
