As a dedicated and experienced tutor, I create a supportive, structured learning environment where students feel confident and capable. I also focus on metacognition—teaching students how to learn, not just what to learn—so they become more independent and self-aware learners.
A typical lesson includes:
Warm-up: Review prior material or ask a question to activate prior knowledge.
Introduction: Share the lesson’s goal and what the student will accomplish.
Instruction: Teach the concept using examples, visuals, or step-by-step explanations.
Guided Practice: Work through problems together while encouraging the student to explain their thinking.
Independent Practice (10 minutes): The student applies the skill with my support as needed.
Wrap-up: Recap key points and preview what’s next.
