About Julie
Hello! My name is Julie and I’m a Canadian-born English tutor with over 400 hours of TESOL and TEFL training (250-hour diploma + 150-hour diploma). I have experience teaching both children and adults, from beginners to advanced learners, and I love helping students gain confidence in their English skills. I also bring a background in the arts and education, having tutored in subjects like piano, ballet, and academic core subjects. This has given me a creative approach to teaching — I believe learning works best when it’s fun, engaging, and adapted to each student’s personal goals. As a tutor, I am patient, encouraging, and organized. My focus is not only on improving grammar and vocabulary, but also on helping students feel comfortable speaking naturally in real-life situations, whether that’s in school, work, travel, or social settings. I’m passionate about seeing students succeed and would be excited to support you on your English-learning journey!
