About Laura
My name is Laura, I graduated from Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and Childhood Development, with an emphasis on Reading. I have taken 30 hours in Graduate Leveled Classes in Curriculum and Instruction with the emphasis in Reading.
I taught two years of Behavior, Middle School
My program was in a Unit this is where I taught my students all subjects and behavior skills when they were in the Behavior Unit.
I also worked as Assistant to the Special Education Department Chairperson of Special Education in a high school setting for 5 years. My work experience includes working as a Special Education Paraprofessional in the Adaptive Edivayiom unit for 2 years and also in Resource Elementary Kindergarten through Fourth Grade. I have worked in Education since 2002 and the past 2 years I have been Substituting EC-12 all subjects, all grade levels.

My expertise is in Reading I work I have work with Special Education since 2002. Individual educational plans for each of my students based on their personal needs to ensure their success. I use a positive approach to my teaching and I value my students input which makes them feel more secure to grow beyond their current level in that subject.
