About Leah
I am an artist as well as historian who has been giving 50 private students lessons throughout 3 years. My students have not only bettered thier grades by averagely 40% but many have attained rewards, certificates and opportunities aboard, to universities and for a few, the confidence to become entrepreneurs in the Art and/or History. I have majored in both History and Art, currently i am working to achieve my honors in Arts, however from my high school career throughout my young adulthood and up until currently, I lead meetings, workshops as well as take on private projects to spread knowledge, passion and confidence.

The secret ingredient for the success of all my lessons lies in good communication with each student. Growing up around 5 siblings and being the eldest taught me that each of my students require a special study method to suit them. Generally I prefer taking a short break after every 45 minutes to allow my students to process everything as well not to overwork them. I do verbal quizzes after each section and written quizzes after each chapter as well as a glass of water throughout each lesson,any specific requirements I am definitely open too as well I set up small projects to keep students engaged in thier lesson eg. Mind maps, games. My lessons are directed at students with minimum understanding, confidence and happiness in thier work as my experience combined with my energy enables me to uplift my students in those areas as well as academically. I take in account what grabs each students attention and try to incorporate that in our lessons. I strongly believe that each student has exceptional potential and remind my students of that before starting our lessons. I am patient in the sense that going over the same content several times is perfectly fine, as long as at the end of each lesson my student has gained confidence in thier knowledge then I believe the lesson was successful.
