About Paloma
My name is Paloma, I was born in Paris and moved to Nice after the pandemic. I still live in France, but I am currently studying for my A levels in the UK, not far from London. I am taking French, Spanish and Politics A level and I am very passionate about all of them! If I had to describe myself in three words, I would say I am sociable, fun and creative. I love music, fashion and the cinema industry. I enjoy travelling, doing sports and having cosy nights in! I want to be a tutor as I have seen the benefits of being bilingual, being able to speak 2 to 3 languages has given me so many opportunities. However, not everyone grows up with the privilege of having a parent who speaks another language. That is why though languages are so amazing! Anyone can learn a language! It is up to you, whether you want to travel to France and feel comfortable speaking abroad or whether you want to just learn the basics, it is all possible. I am here to show you that learning a language is fun and probably one of the most useful skills out there. I live in a boarding house and therefore often find myself with friends of different ages. I am 16 years old, turning 17 in a month and now is the perfect time for me to benefit from the gift of speaking fluent French. I can work with young children as-well as older teenagers, therefore let there be no doubt in any appropriate age. It’s never too late or too soon to start learning!

During lessons the goal is to achieve all of yours. The first lesson we will tackle the topics and sections which you struggle the most in. A list will be made which we will progressively go through together. Once we have established your strengths and weaknesses, we will spend our learning lessons speaking in French and make sure that the time spent together mostly focuses on being able to understand each other. In order for you to retain the information you have learnt, I will set you little tasks which you can do in your free time. We will go through it together the following lesson, and you will be able to ask me as many questions as you want. Lastly, I will make it my duty to make it as interesting and enjoyable for you, we can have conversations about your hobbies and interests. This will allow me to get to know you a little better and I will also be able to make film recommendations, (if that’s of any interest).
