About Mhairi-Anne
Hello! I’m a qualified Biology teacher with over 4 years of experience teaching in Scottish secondary schools, specialising in National 5 Biology.
I help pupils prepare for prelims and final SQA exams by focusing on the key knowledge, exam technique, and specific wording that SQA markers look for. Many students lose marks simply because they don’t structure answers the way the exam board expects — this is something I focus on heavily in my lessons.
My teaching style is supportive, clear, and tailored to each learner. I use SQA past papers, targeted practice questions, and proven teaching strategies to build confidence and improve results.
Whether a pupil needs help understanding difficult topics, improving exam technique, or boosting their grade, my aim is to make Biology feel manageable and help them walk into the exam feeling prepared and confident.

I offer National 5 Biology tutoring to help students build confidence and achieve their best results in prelims and final SQA exams.
My lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to each student. I break down complex Biology topics into clear steps while developing strong exam technique using SQA past papers and mark schemes.
Lessons typically include:
• SQA-style practice questions to improve exam confidence
• Clear visual explanations to support understanding
• Targeted feedback and revision strategies to help students improve.
Sessions usually last one hour and are available online or in person in the Glasgow area.
My tutoring is best suited for National 5 pupils (S3–S6) preparing for prelims or final exams.
My goal is to make Biology clear, manageable, and help students walk into their exam feeling confident and prepared.
