About Isaac
I believe that language learning works best when lessons are interactive, student-centered, and relevant to real life. My role is to create a supportive environment where learners feel confident to experiment, make mistakes, and gradually take ownership of their progress. I emphasize clear goals, authentic materials, and regular feedback, blending structure with flexibility so each student’s interests and strengths guide the lesson. Above all, I see teaching as a partnership: my job is to equip students with the tools and encouragement they need to communicate effectively and think critically in English.

I use a student-centered, communicative approach that blends structured language practice with real-world topics. Lessons are interactive and tailored to each learner’s goals, whether that’s improving conversation, preparing for an exam, or polishing academic writing. I incorporate authentic materials—articles, audio, and short videos—and give clear, constructive feedback so students gain confidence and measurable progress. Lesson Length A typical class is 55–60 minutes, though I can adjust for shorter practice sessions or intensive exam preparation. Qualifications & Experience I’m a native British English speaker with a Master’s degree in Conflict, Governance and Development from the University of York, a TEFL certificate, and over five years’ experience tutoring teenagers and adults both online and in person. Who My Lessons Are For I work with motivated learners aged 13 and up—secondary school, university, and adult professionals—at all levels from upper-beginner to advanced.
