About Mavis
I am a recent postgraduate graduate from the University of Queensland, and have moved to Sydney. Originally from China, I am bilingual in Chinese and English, with strong communication skills and patience in teaching. I also hold an advanced certificate in Mandarin proficiency.

My lessons are designed to be interactive, practical, and enjoyable. I focus on building a strong foundation in Mandarin, covering speaking, listening, reading, and writing according to each student’s level and goals.
For beginners, I use simple daily conversations, pinyin, and basic vocabulary to help you quickly gain confidence in speaking. For intermediate or advanced learners, I introduce grammar, idiomatic expressions, cultural context, and even professional/business Mandarin.
