Hello! My name is Micaelan, and I am a TEFL-certified English tutor currently studying Honors Psychology at the University of Waterloo.

My teaching style is patient, friendly, and adaptable to each student’s individual goals and comfort level. I focus on creating engaging lessons that help students develop practical English skills they can use confidently in everyday conversations.

I am a TEFL-certified English tutor currently studying Honors Psychology at the University of Waterloo. I offer personalized English lessons focused on helping students improve their confidence, communication skills, pronunciation, vocabulary, and conversational fluency.

My lessons are designed to be supportive, conversational, and adapted to each student’s individual goals and comfort level. I focus on helping students improve their speaking confidence, pronunciation, vocabulary, listening, reading, and overall communication skills in a relaxed environment.

As someone currently is currently learning a language myself, I understand the challenges that come with learning a new language. Because of this, I aim to create lessons where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and practicing naturally without pressure.

A typical lesson may include casual conversation practice, pronunciation correction, vocabulary building, listening exercises, reading practice, and discussion topics based on the student’s interests and level. Lessons can also be adjusted for beginners who want to improve their basic English communication skills step by step.

What sets me apart is my patient and encouraging teaching style, along with my personal understanding of language learning as both a tutor and a student myself. My lessons are best suited for beginner to intermediate English learners who want to improve confidence and conversational fluency in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
