About Vera
I have been tutoring students in English since 2013, and I have taught over 60 students in private, one-on-one lessons. I have tutored students in other countries, such as Italy, because I lived there for 10 months. I have a degree from NUI Galway in English and Italian. The students that I have taught have usually been preparing for either written or oral exams, so I am no stranger to helping students get ready for mid-terms, state exams, or finals. The majority of my students have received high grades which indicates that my teaching methods work.

I’ve worked in many customer-facing roles over the past 8 years, and I love talking to/meeting new people. I’m not a shy person, so if you are, I can definitely help bring you out of your shell! I’m quite an enthusiastic and determined individual, so I will always follow-up with you if you have a query in-between lessons. I would characterise myself as a welcoming, and friendly tutor, one that students will not shy away from. My teaching technique is simple: make it fun to learn! Tutoring one-on-one is something that I have done for some time, but I cover a range of methodologies such as using video/television for discussion/activities, role play, student assessment forms, and practical activities to name but a few.
