About Fiona
I've always loved and been fascinated by languages and linguistics. While English is my native language, I learned French at 11 years old when my family relocated to France, so I am familiar with the challenges of having to learn a second language to be able to get by in a new environment. I ahve also been learning Spanish and Italian for several years as a hobby. Learning multiple languages as an older child and adult has given me a lot of insight into how languages work and the patterns that exist across different grammar and syntax systems, which has helped me in my teaching as I am able to pass on useful language learning tips and tricks that I have picked up in my own learning experiences to students.

I have taught students of varying ages and levels and have a flexible teaching style depending on the needs and learning goals of the student.
As a graduate of the TEFL Academy I am able to offer theory-based academic lessons (I am familiar with such teaching tools as the international phonetic alphabet), as well as more free form classes and conversation practice.
I specialise in helping students improve their pronunciation, vocabulary, and understanding of grammar.
Students can choose between half hour or hour long lessons.
