About Daniel

After achieving my advanced TESOL diploma in Canada, I have worked as an English teacher over the past 6 years and have had positions in several countries including Thailand, Mexico, the USA and France. I have taught children, high school students, young professionals, advertising executives and more. My experience includes lesson planning, curriculum development and face to face teaching, both online and in person. Over the past few years I have focused my attention towards online learning and even spent a year working with a startup in San Francisco. There I managed a large teacher team, designed the website interface, performed market testing and acted as the face of the online school.

About the lesson

With a passion for teaching English, I focus on my students' needs and the type of language that they want to use in their unique lives. Rather than learning about structured plans from text books, we talk about the things that matter to them. I then base grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation around individual requirements and determine exactly what is missing or can be changed in order to make students more fluent. My students are taught how to deal with real life situations, whether professional or personal. I put a focus on oral communication, without neglecting grammar or writing skills. The goal is to have fun.
