About Katie
I am a graduate of Webster University in St. Louis, MO, USA with degrees in English and Spanish. I received my teaching license in 2012. I also have a TEFL certificate with an emphasis in teaching ESL for adults. I have been teaching English since 2012 -- 8 years teaching children and teens and 3 years teaching adults.

I teach the 4 language skills - speaking, listening, reading and writing, as well as vocabulary, grammar and a focus on the particular needs and interests of each student. I work with a guide material and design a lot of my own materials as well. I like to incorporate music, videos, documentaries, stories, books, podcasts, etc. according to the student.
We start with an English placement test to find out where to start and identify your goals. I teach all levels of the language. I am a native speaker of the United States. I prefer to speak only English during the classes so that you are immersed in the language, but I have an advanced level of Spanish so if you are a beginner in learning English, I can help you with explanations in Spanish.
